Essays on Thomas Jefferson

For me, Thomas Jefferson is such a compelling figure in American history because his life mirrors the ongoing struggle of the nation as a whole to live up to the grand rhetoric of our founding. Jefferson's belief in God and adherence to the "wall" of separation between church and state is widely referenced in contemporary political dialogues.
