Red-Blue Mystery Contest
Bruce D. Kothmann
28 October 2004 Modified 11 November 2004 I found something really cool on the internet last night. Rather than share the link right away, I thought it would be fun to have a little contest. What does the following image represent? HINT: It has something to do with an unusual aspect of the 2000 presidential election.
(The original image can be seen here.) To enter the contest, just e-mail your explanation of the image with the subject line "Red-Blue Mystery Contest". You may enter as many times as you wish. The contest will remain open until I get at least one correct entry, or until 11 November 2004, whichever comes later. Update 11-Nov-2004: We're now in sudden death--first correct entry wins! Big Prize! In addition to the fame that comes from having a correct entry published on an update to this site, the winner will also receive ten TradeSports contracts on Eagles Win Superbowl XXXIX, currently valued at more than $20! Rules: If there is more than one correct entry, I will make an arbitrary and capricious decision about who gets what prizes, but the total won't be worth less than ten shares of Eagles Win. The contest winner may choose to receive ten shares of any other team, though this will reduce the value of the award since the market believes that all other teams are at the moment less likely to win the Superbowl. I will purchase and hold the ten contracts in my TradeSports account, so the winner is not required to open an account. The winner may direct me to liquidate them at any time and receive the payout. If acting on anything I promise here would cause anyone who is not at a high level in the Bush Administration to go to jail, I might decide not to follow through. |
